This is a public-facing file of the OI-637 directory available to all readers. If you believe you hold any information regarding OI-637 that is not contained in the Omniverse Organisation's files, please contact your closest UNUOR Inspectorate to verify and catalogue this information in the OI-637 directory. Thank you for electing to reside under the judicature of the Omniverse Organisation.
OI-647 is a three dimensional tablet or plaque composed of an unidentified stone, that has recently come under the Omniverse Organisation’s humble jurisdiction. Its three dimensional size in quant lengths is approximately 1520 x 700 x 440 [translation to local: 20 x 9 x 6 centimetres]. Its edges are sharp, but perhaps subtly beveled rather than cleanly cut. Upon the tablet’s superior surface are engraved the symbols ‘4612’, which is parseable in the Transversal Numerical and Vocalogical Standard (TNVS).
Studies conclude that it resembles the crystalline rock TQ.97884. Otherwise, due to its apparent indestructable nature and opacity to wavicles (such as sound, light, ticks and dendron), not much else can be gleaned from it other than through naked observation. Furthermore, the status of the Tablet of 4612 as a religious relic does not permit our researchers to study it for extended periods of time.
OI-637 is located on a secure podium in its chamber of containment in the Temple of the Multiverses. In all historical record, the tablet has always been situated here. Pilgrims and other visitors to the Temple are permitted to view and touch the Tablet with due diligence. Removal of the Tablet from its podium must come with minimum UNUOR Level clearance from an authoritative entity of the Omniverse Organisation and approval of a religious advisory committee dedicated to upholding the pilgrims’ rights over the Tablet. It is considered a sin to the highest degree among many to remove the Tablet without proper cause, and in spite of the trillions of sapients that pass through the chamber there has not been a single recorded attempt to do so before it entered the Organisation’s jurisdiction.
The Tablet does not appear to have an internal energy source; all investigations thus far conclude that it is composed of stone all the way through its dimensions. Despite this, the engraved symbols emit wavicles - particularly light. Each symbol emits a different wavelength of light, approximately as follows:
translation to local:
4 - black
6 - white
1 - blue
2 - green
OI-637 is accepted as the oldest and most famous tangible object currently under the Omniverse Organisation’s possession. Sapients of many species from across The Multiverses visit the Tablet of 4612 during their respective holy periods. The prestige of OI-637 is so large that these holy periods overlap one another such that there is a constant, unending stream of pilgrims through the Tablet’s chamber.
All records of OI-637’s origin have been lost through time - the fault largely lies on record keepers far predating the Omniverse Organisation. Even though the symbols engraved onto its surface are legible through the TNVS, this does not glean further insight into its origin - the standard has been designed to allow easy communication between sapient lifeforms, and is itself a very ancient system (see OI-001 for the Omniversal Item file for the TNVS). It is highly likely the symbols are parseable in the TNVS by coincidence or were engraved by an ancestor of the primitive groups of sapients that designed the TNVS in the First Multiversal Pact. As a result, many hypothesised origins have been proposed, from being a vague remnant of ancient technology to acting as proof of the existence of Omniversal constants and, by transitivity, of the Omniverse being finite and therefore not “of Omnithing”.

Incident-637-001: An attempt to steal OI-637
A member of the sapient species Xnopyt (an endemic inhabitant of the Temple of the Multiverses) deliberately toppled the podium upon which OI-637 resides. It attempted to escape the chamber in possession of the Tablet, but was halted by bystanding pilgrims in line to view and touch the Tablet. All chamber doorways were closed, guards were dispensed, and the Xnopyt was apprehended. The Xnopyt was sentenced to be banned from all outposts owned by the Omniverse Organisation and was discharged to return to its home universe. As the Xnopyt’s body had been ripped apart by the bystanding pilgrims, the Xnopyt had perished and this sentencing was redundant.
This was the first ever recorded attempt of an individual attempting to steal the Tablet of 4612. A request has been made to the Heads of the Omniverse Organisation to increase OI-637’s security. Request is currently pending.

This is a revised version of a piece originally written on 30 June 2021. In the original version, the Xnopyt survived. I think it’s funnier now in a morbid sort of way.
